Dear Karunya Graduates of
2009!
July 4th will be a
red letter day in your lives, when you will receive the long awaited
degree certificates from our Respected Chancellor, Dr. Paul
Dhinakaran. The Controller of Examinations, Dr. Kennady has
already given you the detailed guidelines for the Convocation. We
have arranged accommodation in the First Year Gents and Ladies
Residences for those of you
who are arriving with your parents on July 3rd, since the
guest house is likely to be heavily booked. Please let us know your
plans in advance so that we can prepare accordingly.
On July 4th we will
have the Thanksgiving function at 9 am in Emmanuel Auditorium.
Please come in formal attire since this is an important function.
Your parents can also attend. Chancellor will give his
final message and bless each of you for the last time as you leave
Karunya. Alumni induction will take place after which you can
proceed for registration at Ebenezer, and from there for lunch.
Please report at the New Auditorium by 2 pm so that you can find the
right seats. Your parents will be seated behind you in the main
section. Other relatives or friends can sit on the sides where there
will be plenty of seating available.
The Convocation will start
precisely at 2.30 pm and end no later than 5 pm. We have arranged
high tea for all of you and your parents in another section of the
auditorium. The high tea will start soon after the Chief guest
leaves. Photographers will also be available .
We pray that God will grant us
good weather, and that the proceedings will take place smoothly and
for His glory. Hope to see you and your parents on July 4th.
