Programme for the Day 5th July 2008

Time Programme
9.30 a.m.

Thanksgiving service
Venue :  Immanuel Auditorium
Message by : Dr. Paul Dhinakaran, Chancellor, Karunya University

upto 12.30 pm Registration for Convocation
Venue   :   Ebenezer Auditorium
upto 1.30 pm Robes Distribution
Venue :   New Auditorium (Near Karunya Guest House)
2.00 pm Graduates entry into the auditorium will be stopped
2.30 pm Convocation ceremony

 

Instructions for the Day:

Graduates should come with their ID Cards.

Limited transport facility will be provided as detailed below:

 » Gandhipuram      -  departure at    -  5.15 a.m .  and    6.15 a.m. (Limited facility)
        (Near Hotel Tamilnadu)

  » Railway Station   -  departure at    -  5.30 p.m.   and   6.30 p.m. 
(Limited facility)

Accommodation (For Registered Graduates)

            Ladies  -  Sevugapandian / Sundararaj Residence

            Gents   -  S.G. Bobraj / Jerry Manuel Residence

 

Instructions for Thanksgiving Service:

Venue :  Immanuel Auditorium

1.        All registered graduates should attend.

2.        By 9.00 am all should occupy their seats

3.        After 9.15 am no graduates / guests will be allowed inside the auditorium.

4.        Graduates should wear their Karunya Blazer for this service.

5.        Switch off your mobile phones.

Instructions for Registration for Convocation:

Venue :  Ebenezer Auditorium

1.      Counter will open upto 12.30 pm only.

2.      Pay Rs.60/- for photograph and get registered.

3.      Write your postal address with contact number clearly on the envelop and return to the officer.

4.      Receive your lunch coupon, convocation book and badge (with your seat number) from the officer.

5.      Registration counters will be closed by 12.30 pm.

Instructions For Robes Distribution:

Venue :  New Auditorium

1.      Graduates should come in proper dress code:

Gents  :   Full sleeves shirts, tucked in with shoes and ties.
Ladies :  Sarees

2.      Show your badge (with seat number) to the officer and pay Rs.200/- as deposit for robe.

3.      Wear the robe properly and occupy the seat as per your seat number.

4.      Robe distribution will be stopped at 2.00 pm.

Instructions for the Convocation Ceremony:

Venue :  New Auditorium

1.      As it is a solemn occasion please keep silence throughout the function.

2.      Seating in the graduates area will be stopped by 2.00 pm.  No graduates will be allowed after 2.00 pm.

3.      Switch off your cell phones.

4.      While proceeding towards the stage, graduates are requested to go in line as per their seat number.

5.      During the Procession of Dignitaries – both arrival and return, University Anthem & Prayer, Oath taking agenda and National Anthem all the participants shall remain standing.

6.      Verify your degree certificates.

7.      After the function return the robe at the robe distribution counter.

8.   Photography is strictly prohibited during the Convocation Ceremony.

Instructions for Lunch:

Time  :  12.00  - 1.00 p.m.

Venue:            Gents Graduates with  Guests  :   S.G. Bobraj / Jerry Manuel Residence

                        Ladies Graduates with Guests :    Ladies Hostel Dining Hall

1.      Give the lunch coupon in the counter and get the food.

2.      Immediately after lunch proceed to convocation venue.
